Specific Content Connectivity, what is it? How to use and what are the advantages of this service? Let's take a look at the following review to find out more about Specific Content Connectivity or SCC which will provide additional services for your internet business.

SCC is a traffic interconnection solution to CDN in large capacity. By definition, SCC is a new concept in the world of connectivity designed to optimize data transfer and communication between devices or systems based on specific product content. Well, Telkom itself has an SCC 3.0 service, which is an upgrade of the previous version of the SCC service with the addition of new content and bundling package content (Social Media, Streaming, Games Content), the ordering model scheme becomes a single input order so that the process of offering and activating products becomes simpler.

Then what are the characteristics of Specific Content Connectivity?

  1. Specific routing to one or more Content in Domestic
  2. Mandatory Collocation in NeuCentrIX. Requires CNDC/NeuCentrIX SID as a condition for SCC order input.
  3. Using BGP configuration with inbound and outbound/UL ratio: DL 1:1
  4. Routing has accommodated the need for domestic content to synchronize content with origin servers in Global
  5. SCC input as Single Order Service, product offering and order input becomes simpler
  6. Packages of Specific Content Connectivity services vary, there are single packages and bundling packages.

Single Package content viz:

  • Google Global Cache
  • Facebook
  • Akamai
  • Netflix

and for bundling, several options are available such as:

  • Premium Content: which is a service package for access to CDN GGC + FB + Akamai content bundling that is delivered through 1 order.
  • Social Media: a package of services for access to CDN GGC + FB + Tiktok (Zenlayer & Conversant) content bundling which is delivered via 1 order
  • Streaming Content: a package of services for access to Akamai + Netflix + AWS CDN content bundling that is delivered via 1 order
  • Games Content: a package of services for access to Garena + Akamai + Conversant CDN content bundling which is delivered via 1 order.

For example, let's say an ISP company located in Jakarta wants to place an order for Specific Content Connectivity Services for Games Package with a bandwidth of 2,000 Gbps. Well, for SCC 3.0 services, the requirements that must be met by the customer are already colocated in neuCentrIX, but if not yet fulfilled, then provisioning can be done together during the Order Activation process.
