Strengthening the Digital Ecosystem, neuCentrIX Arrives in Malang
In an effort to build a digital ecosystem, Telkom Indonesia has inaugurated a new data center in the eastern part of Java Island, specifically in the city of Malang. neuCentrIX Malang becomes the 18th city and the 3rd location in East Java, following data centers in Kebalen and Gubeng, Surabaya.
The commercial launch of neuCentrIX Malang was held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, attended by Bogi Witjaksono, Director of Wholesale & International Service at Telkom Indonesia, Honesti Basyir, Director of Group Business Development at Telkom Indonesia, along with Telkom Regional V, and Telkom's data center clients in the Malang area.
In his speech, Bogi Witjaksono stated that all neuCentrIX data centers have 3S (Standard, Secure, and Simple) principles, including neuCentrIX Malang, which features layered security to support customer safety and convenience. Additionally, Bogi mentioned that in the future, neuCentrIX will be equipped with AI technology to enhance data center service security. He also noted that neuCentrIX Malang has a unique characteristic as it is housed in a heritage building located in the heart of Malang, at Jalan Jenderal Basuki Rachmat No. 11 A, Kauman, Kec. Klojen, Malang.
During the event, a commercialization ceremony for neuCentrIX was also held by Bogi Witjaksono and Honesti Basyir, marking the readiness of the Malang data center to serve the market needs of Malang and its surroundings. This was marked by the signing of the Customer Agreement Minutes with Siti Zulaikah, Head of LPSE Kab Sidoarjo, Mayor CHB Agus Suprapto, Head of Communication Hubdam V Brawijaya, Endah Yanuarti, Head of UPT Regional Revenue Management of Malang City representing Bapenda of East Java Province, and Yoyok Arif Santoso, Director of ISP Mars Data.
Aligned with the government's priority program to realize the digitalization of Indonesia, neuCentrIX Malang is expected to accommodate various customer and business needs, including edge computing, digital platforms, and other digital services for both wholesale (Internet Service Providers) and enterprise segments such as the Government, MSMEs, and Higher Education sectors.
